<p n="23">The humble Petition of the Master Wardens and Society of<lb></lb>
Innholders of the City of London on behalf of themselves and<lb></lb>
other the Consumers of Oats in the said City of London</p>

That lately the common Market Price of middling English<lb></lb>
Oats at the new Corn Market in Mark Lane has exceeded the Sum<lb></lb>
of sixteen Shillings the Quarter the Continuance whereof your<lb></lb>
Petitioners apprehend must prove very detrimental to the City in<lb></lb>
General and to your Petitioners in particular</p>
<p n="25">That your Petitioners are ready to make the Truth thereof<lb></lb>
appear and to prove the same in such manner as by the Statutes<lb></lb>
in that behalf is required</p>
<p n="26">Wherefore your Petitioners most humbly<lb></lb>
pray that this Honourable Court will take their<lb></lb>
Case into Consideration and proceed to examine<lb></lb>
and determine the common Market price for<lb></lb>
middling English Oats as the same is now and<lb></lb>
hath been lately bought and sold in the Market<lb></lb>
of this City and to certify the same to his Majesty's<lb></lb>
Chief Officer and Collector of the Customs in such<lb></lb>
manner as by the Statutes in this behalf is<lb></lb>
required and directed</p>
