the owner of the said Salt and that the Duties for the said Salt had been paid to His<lb></lb>
Majesty and that on or about the Twenty seventh day of the same month of November<lb></lb>
the said Ship or Vessel with the said Salt on Board her sailed from Lymington<lb></lb>
aforesaid for the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15083_geo735">Port of London</rs>

and that in the course of her voyage on the same day<lb></lb>
a violent Storm arose between Beachy Head and the Isle of White and that by the force<lb></lb>
and violence of the Sea the sides of the said Ship or Vessel (which before the said storm<lb></lb>
begun were Perfectly good tight and sound) were forced open in so much that the said<lb></lb>
Ship or Vessel filled so fast with Water that it was with the utmost difficulty she was saved<lb></lb>
from sinking notwithstanding every assistance and care was used and taken by the said<lb></lb>

or loaded on board the said Ship or Vessel were totally lost and did Parish at Sea And lastly<lb></lb>
these Deponents further say that the loss of the said Salt was not occasioned by any leekage<lb></lb>
of the said Ship or Vessel or by any negligence or default of this Deponent the said Joseph<lb></lb>
Russel as master of the said Ship or Vessel or any of the Mariners on board the same</p>
