same City at their General Quarter Session of the<lb></lb>
Peace assembled.</p>
<p n="229">The Humble Petition of the several Inn holders<lb></lb>
and Stable Keepers within the City of London on<lb></lb>
behalf of themselves and the other Consumers of<lb></lb>
Oats within the said City.</p>

That lately the common Market Price of midling English<lb></lb>
Oats at the new Corn Market in Mark Lane have exceeded the<lb></lb>
Sum of sixteen Shillings the Quarter the Continuance whereof<lb></lb>
your Petitioners apprehend must prove very detrimental to<lb></lb>
the City in general and to your Petitioners in Particular</p>
<p n="231">That your Petitioners are ready to make the Truth thereof<lb></lb>
appear, and to prove the same in such manner as by the<lb></lb>
Statutes in that behalf is required.</p>
<p n="232">Wherefore your Petitioners most humbly<lb></lb>
pray that this Honourable Court will take<lb></lb>
their Case into Consideration and proceed to<lb></lb>
examine and determine the Common Market<lb></lb>
Price of midling English Oats as the same is<lb></lb>
now and hath been lately bought and sold<lb></lb>
in the Marketts of this City and to certify the<lb></lb>
same to his Majesty's Chief Officer and<lb></lb>
Collector of the Customs in such manner as by<lb></lb>
the Statutes in this behalf is required and<lb></lb>
directed.</p>
