<p n="37">Commissioners on his Examination only one Book of Account in which there was<lb></lb>
contained no Entry prior to the Month of September One thousand seven hundred and<lb></lb>
fifty Six and in which not more than about Twenty Leaves were ever Written upon And<lb></lb>
which the said Aldridge upon his Oath declared was all the Books of Account ever<lb></lb>
kept by him relating to his Trade and Dealings And this Deponent further saith<lb></lb>
that the Commissions then present did declare themselves so much dissatisfied with<lb></lb>
the Account given by the said Bankrupt that after the said Bankrupt had finished his<lb></lb>
Examination before them they did earnestly recommend this Deponent and the rest<lb></lb>
of the Crediters of the said Bankrupt then Present to carry the said Bankrupt<lb></lb>
before Mr Alderman Also the then sitting Alderman it Guildhall Who also<lb></lb>
very Strictly examine the said Bankrupt and directed an Account to be drawn<lb></lb>
out from the Barkrupts papers of the several Goods and Effects sent into the<lb></lb>
said Bankrupt by his Creditors since the latterend of April last and of the<lb></lb>
Payments made by the said Bankrupt since that time and upon such Accounts<lb></lb>
their appearing to be a Deficiency of several Hundred Pounds relating to which<lb></lb>
the said Bankrupt did not give any Satisfactory Account to the said Mr. Alderman<lb></lb>
Alsop He thereupon and upon inspecting the said Bankrupts said Book of<lb></lb>
Accounts and other Circumstances did in the presence of the said Commissioners<lb></lb>
who attended the said Examination Committ the said Bankrupt to <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15071_geo45">Wood street<lb></lb>

on a Violent Suspicion of the said Bankrupt having embezillea great<lb></lb>
part of his Estate and Effects to the Value of twenty Pounds and upwards And<lb></lb>
this Deponent and several other Creditors then present were bound over by the<lb></lb>
said Magistrate to prosecute the said Bankrupt for such Felony And this<lb></lb>
Deponent Saith he hath been and Still is taking all possible pains to investigate<lb></lb>
and discover the Concealments the said Aldridge is most Violently suspected<lb></lb>
to have made of his Estate and Effects and hopes and believes he shall be able<lb></lb>
to make the proper discoverys to enable him and the said Creditors to prosecute<lb></lb>
the said Aldridge the next Sessions which he hath not yet been able to do so as to<lb></lb>
prosecute him at this present Sessions</p>
