on Saturday the thirtieth day of<lb></lb>
Aprill last about seven a Clock in the Evening this Informt. meeting with one<lb></lb>
Mr. Lister this Depts. particular acquaintance neare the Royall Exchange was<lb></lb>
pressed very much to go with him on board a certain Vessell called the Parker<lb></lb>
Yatch or Frigott lying in the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15026_geo119">River of Thames</rs>

where this Informt. was informed<lb></lb>
he Should meet with one <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15026_n201-2">Nicholas Parker</rs>

who had asked this Informt. the<lb></lb>
Same day in the morning to go on board the said Frigott, wch tis Informt. then<lb></lb>
refused to doe not careing for the said Parkers Company, but was at last prvailed<lb></lb>
on by the said Lister to goe along with him in order to goe on board the said Frigat<lb></lb>
and this Informt. & the said Lister with one <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15026_n201-3">Wm Rice</rs>

a stranger to this Informt. but<lb></lb>
intimately acquainted with the said Parker took a Boat at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15026_geo120">Billingsgate</rs>

for that<lb></lb>
purpose but meeting the said Parker in his returne from the said Vessell this<lb></lb>
Informt. did not goe on board but returned with the said Parker Lister and<lb></lb>
Rice to the Dog Taverne at Billingsgate about Eight a clock in the Evening<lb></lb>
of the said thirtyeth day of Aprill at which time this Informant and the<lb></lb>
said Parker Lister and Rice Satt down to drink a Bottle of Wine in the said<lb></lb>
Taverne, and this Informt. positively saith that when this Informt sat down<lb></lb>
with his said Company in the sd Taverne, he this Informant had in his Coat pocket<lb></lb>
on the left side in a Money Bagg twisted round about in English & French Ginueas<lb></lb>
Broad peices of Gole and Pistoles the Sume of One hundred & thirty pounds at<lb></lb>
least which this Informant had been collecting with an intent (together wth<lb></lb>
other money this Informant expected to have received that day) to discharge<lb></lb>
a Note of this Informants hand for One hundred fifty Eight pounds Eighteen<lb></lb>
Shillings wch) lay for paymt. at Mr. Atwells a Goldsmith in <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15026_geo121">Exchange alley</rs>

And this Informant positively Saith that from the time of the coming into<lb></lb>
the said Taverne as aforesaid till the time of his goeing out which was<lb></lb>
about Twelve a clock the Same night he this Informant was not in any<lb></lb>
other company than as aforesd. and that he had not gone above twenty<lb></lb>
yards or thereabouts from the said Tavern, but he missed his Bag of money<lb></lb>
and imediately returned with the Tavern Boy (who went with him to light<lb></lb>
him home) to his said Company at the said Taverne and declared to them<lb></lb>

he had lost his said Bag of money upon wth the said Parker & Rice<lb></lb>
Suddenly went away haveing gott this Informants said Bagg of money<lb></lb>
as this Informt. doth verily beleive and suspect and the rather for that<lb></lb>
the sd. Rice most & party of the night sat next to this Informt and for<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
that<lb></lb>
this Dept. upon his Challenging the said Parker & Rice with having his Bagg<lb></lb>
of money and the Mar. of the Tavern Supposing this Informt. to be the<lb></lb>
son of one Newton known to the said Vintuer to be a Worthless man told<lb></lb>
the said Parker that he knew this Informt. and his Father very well<lb></lb>
and that this Informt. was never worth One hundred Pounds in his life or</p>
