London Forty theigh of French Salt as this Depont.<lb></lb>
was informed by the Queens Officer that attended at the Warehouse and took an Account thereof<lb></lb>
when he Salt was Weighed out and delivered to this Depont. And this Depont. sayth that the<lb></lb>
said Forty theigh of Salt was put on Board Three Lightens Number Two, Six and Ten which<lb></lb>
this Depont. was Directed to carry Down the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15015_geo5">River of Thames</rs>

together with the other Depont. Did carry two of the Sd three Lighters (Vizt) No. Two and No.<lb></lb>
Ten to the Custome House Key where the Salt on board them both was theighed out and Did<lb></lb>

Damage thereby that the Snuck and perished with all her Lading in her and all<lb></lb>
the Salt was lossed except a handfull or two which this Depont. took out of her<lb></lb>
and put in his Handkercheife as She was Sinking and this Depont. and another Man<lb></lb>
that was in her would have been lost if help had not come to their releife and taken<lb></lb>
them out of the Lighter And this Depont. <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15015_n5-5">Henry Cheesman</rs>

sayth that Forty theigh at<lb></lb>
French Salt was out on board the said three Lighters at Baynards Castle as aforesaid and<lb></lb>
that here was no part thereof taken out of any or either of them untill the Lighters No.<lb></lb>
Two and No. Ten arrived at the Custome house Key and were unladen and theighed there and<lb></lb>
the Quantity that was taken out of those two Lighters at the Custome house was Twenty<lb></lb>
one they and four Bushells and no more and the Lighter No. Six which was cast away<lb></lb>
had on board her Eighteen they and Thirty Six Bushells being the remainder of the<lb></lb>
Forty they of French Salt which was theighed out by the Queen's officer and taken on<lb></lb>
board the Three Lighters at Baynards Castle by this Deponent as aforesaid.</p>
