taken upon Oath the Nynth day of<lb></lb>
August Anno Dom 1692</p>
<p n="425">This Informt. sayth That <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15003_n425-1">John Evans</rs>

him if hee had any New money to keepe it<lb></lb>
and that hee would allow him two shillings<lb></lb>
in the pound, to melt downe, because it is better<lb></lb>
weight then ye old Silver and to mix with<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
<lb></lb>
other Metters to make the Counterseale money<lb></lb>
because it would not run without some<lb></lb>
Silver And this Informt. sayth that the said<lb></lb>
Evans told him that noe Man in London made<lb></lb>
this money but him<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
that hee had the<lb></lb>
money off And that the said Evans did offer to<lb></lb>
to allow to this Informt. Five shillings in<lb></lb>
the pound to putt of this bad money, And two<lb></lb>
Shillings in the Pound to putt of Clipt money<lb></lb>
and five shillings in the Pound for Milled<lb></lb>
money And that the said Evans<del>on Sunday last</del>
<lb></lb>
about a<del>fortnight</del>
three dayes after this<lb></lb>
Informant had reced Fifty shillings in halfe<lb></lb>
Crowner, of the said faulse money, would have<lb></lb>
had the said faulse money from this Informt.<lb></lb>
but this Informant. told him hee should not<lb></lb>
have it, till he had it before a Justice, And<lb></lb>
