were drinking at ye Young Divell Taverner neare Temple barr<lb></lb>
and there ariseing some discouse in relacon to ye King & the Governmt. which<lb></lb>
apeared very reflecting & being taken Notice of by Mr. Pitt, it made Mr Pitt seeme<lb></lb>
uneasy & ye sd. Mr. Pitt & ye decd. afterwards towarted one another whereupon<lb></lb>
ye decd. being in a heate called ye sd. Mr. Pitt Raskall & many more words<lb></lb>
arose thereupon, but this Informt. wth. much adoe recomited them And this<lb></lb>
Informt. Sayth that ye decd. some time after goeing downe stayres this<lb></lb>
Informt. thought that ye decd had been gone, but ye decd. Soone returning<lb></lb>
again. Mr. Pitt & Mr. Kingsmell would have kept him out of ye Roome but<lb></lb>
this Informt desireing they might lett him in, They accordingly did and ye<lb></lb>
decd. renewed ye Quarrell calling ye sd. Mr. Pitt Pultrome Coward & other<lb></lb>
Aucrilons names taxeing ye sd Mr. Pitt to putt ye Quarrell to an end sayeing<lb></lb>
why don't you strike ye. pipe downe my throate or to that effect, And this<lb></lb>
informt. sayth hee did prwaite wth ye sd. pties to putt off their Quarrell till<lb></lb>
next morning, and tooke all ye Swords from them intending to have engaged<lb></lb>
one of ye Company to have gone home wth Mr Pitt, & this Informt. intended<lb></lb>
to have gone house, wth Mr House to his Lodging in order to have made<lb></lb>
them freinds next day & prsented Mischiefs But Soone after they came<lb></lb>
out of doores some fresh words ariseing betweene them, upon wth this<lb></lb>
Informt. & Mr. Kinswell went a little backe in Ordr. to agree upon a<lb></lb>
Mother for pting them, but prsently hearing a clasting of Swords or<lb></lb>
a Sword & a Sticke they came to ye decd. & Mr. Pitt & found ye decd<lb></lb>
downe upon ye Ground by ye Temple gate & Mr. Pitt not farr from him<lb></lb>
& doth conceive that by ye clashing aforesd. they Struke each other &<lb></lb>
that ye Ord. recd. his mortall round by ye hands of Mr. Pitt but cannot<lb></lb>
say hee saw either of their Swords drawne</p>
