Esquire this Eleventh Day of August 1789</p>
<p n="1321">Who being upon Oath saith, that some time in the Month of<lb></lb>
March last, to the best of this Informants recollection, as he was<lb></lb>
calling old Cloaths in Denzill Street Clarr Market, a Person<lb></lb>
now present who calls herself Ann Massley Call'd to this<lb></lb>
Informant from the Window of the first Floor of a House<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

in the said Street and which floor was over a Coopers Shop; that<lb></lb>

a small Lump of Black Lead in her HandThat he this<lb></lb>

would lot him have a small Sample, he would make Enquires<lb></lb>
as to the Value and give her an answer; at some Time Informant<lb></lb>
asked said Manssley what she Expected per pound for said<lb></lb>
Lead, who answered a Guniea; that said Massley then<lb></lb>
gave Informant the small Lump of Lead which she held<lb></lb>
in her hand, and Informant left herThat having Shown the<lb></lb>
sd. Lump of Lead to a person who was a Judge of the Article, said<lb></lb>
person advised Informant to ascertain the Quantity said Woman<lb></lb>
had to dispose of, whereupon Informant the next day went<lb></lb>
again to said John Massleys Appartment in Denzil Street for<lb></lb>
that purpose, when said Massley produced a Quantity of Black<lb></lb>
Lead, which she caused to be weighed at a Chandler Shop at the<lb></lb>
