<p n="940">Who being upon Oath say and first the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45031_n940-1">David Drummond</rs>

says that about two Months ago he lost two Drafts drawn by Lord Sempill<lb></lb>
that said Drafts where brought to him by a Person now present who calls<lb></lb>
himself <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45031_n940-2">Jonathan Harwood</rs>

and another person who Informant has since<lb></lb>
understood to be Wetherell, to whom Informant gave One Shillings each as a<lb></lb>
Gratuity for bringing said Drafts, That on Friday Evening last the 15th Instant<lb></lb>
Informant being in the <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45031_geo916">Green Park</rs>

he was accosted by said Harwood who<lb></lb>
said he was one of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMOBPS45031_occ383">Soldiers</rs>

who found the Drafts and that Informant<lb></lb>
had not behaved like a Gentleman by not giving them more than a Shilling<lb></lb>
each upon which Informant told him he thought it was Sufficient as the<lb></lb>
Drafts had been paid and were of no use to any Person, that said Harwood<lb></lb>
said it too little and that he would not leave him until he gave him more<lb></lb>
Money on which Informant gave him One Shilling and told him to go about<lb></lb>
his business, that said Harwood then said that was too little, Informant<lb></lb>
said he would give him no more and it which time they had came into <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45031_geo917">Saint<lb></lb>
James's Park</rs>

, when said Harwood still said he would not leave him and<lb></lb>
immediately Added he would Swear that Informant was concerned with<lb></lb>
him in an Unatural Crime when said Drafts were Dropped, that<lb></lb>
Informant then walked towards the Queens Palace and repeatedly desired<lb></lb>
said Harwood to leave him, when Harwood insisted upon having more Money<lb></lb>
Informant told him he had only a little Silver and gave him an half Crown<lb></lb>
and three Six pences that Harwood still said it was not Sufficient, Informant<lb></lb>
then asked him what he did want, but Harwood would not till him<lb></lb>
what he wished to have, Informant told him be no more Money than he<lb></lb>
had then given him, but if he would Meet him on Monday Night he would<lb></lb>
give him a Guinea that Harwood said a Guinea was no object to him<lb></lb>
and insisted upon going home with Informant, who insisted he should not<lb></lb>
That Harwood said he would not leave him, Informant then said if he<lb></lb>
would go home with him he would give him two Guineas, Informant<lb></lb>
then walked on, and Harwood then followed him, and near the Queens Palace</p>
