taken before me this 8th.. Day of<lb></lb>
August 1782.</p>
<p n="1577">Who being on Oath says that about a Quarter of an hour<lb></lb>
past Two o'Clock this Morning, he heard a Woman (standing<lb></lb>
on the top of <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45026_geo1115">Saint Margaret's Church</rs>

crying out "Watch<lb></lb>

he perceived she was Mr.. Hollings head's Maid who lived<lb></lb>
Near the said Church. That she told this Informant there<lb></lb>
were Thieves in her Mistress's house and desired him to<lb></lb>
go round to the door. That he ran round, and when he<lb></lb>
came to Mrs.. Holling heads door he observed three Men<lb></lb>
coming out of said House with each of them a Cutlass<lb></lb>
in his hand. That this Informant made a blow with his<lb></lb>
Staff at the first Man that came out which Man immediately<lb></lb>
made a thrust at this Informant with his Cutlass and wound<lb></lb>
-ed this Informant in the Right side of his Belly. That said<lb></lb>
three Men then made a cross the Street, where <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45026_n1577-1">James Harebottle</rs>
