the Chaise was<lb></lb>
Stopped by two Man on Horse back in the<lb></lb>
Kings Highway, who demanded Depts. Watch<lb></lb>
and Money immediately or they would<lb></lb>
flow his Brains out, one of the Men being<lb></lb>
on each side of the Chaise, says that he<lb></lb>
delivered his Gold Watch and some Silver<lb></lb>
(Dept. thinks about Eight or ten Shillings)<lb></lb>
to the Man on the right side of the Chaise,<lb></lb>
That the same Man afterwards with threats and<lb></lb>
Imprecations demanded more Money<lb></lb>
upon which Dept. fired a Pistol which he<lb></lb>
had in the Chaise loaded at the Man when<lb></lb>
was almost close to the Chaise, Says that<lb></lb>
he thinks he must have wounded the Man<lb></lb>
and fancie that the Man leaned down<lb></lb>
towards the Horse's Neck, and that both the<lb></lb>
Men immediately rode away, Says that it<lb></lb>
was so Dark that he could not know the<lb></lb>
Man who Robbed him. Says that as soon<lb></lb>
as he got to London he gave Information of<lb></lb>
