Furnished to three eminent Merchants and Partners at<lb></lb>
£52 P annum<lb></lb>
Two of these Partners and there Man Servant lay in the<lb></lb>
House have their Compting House and Bed Chamber and,<lb></lb>
other Apartments (the no Warehouses) and carry on an<lb></lb>
extensive Trade as Merchants in Buying Selling & Remitting<lb></lb>
Note. There is but one large gateway, or Entry to this<lb></lb>
House and the Merchants Compting House and apartments<lb></lb>
lay backward towards the Garden and are separate and<lb></lb>
detached as it were from the rest of the House for their<lb></lb>
better Conveniency</p>
<p n="92">It is an Evil complained of and hurt full to the<lb></lb>
Commonalty on general that Merchants in the City of<lb></lb>

(as Lodgers or Inmates) from Serving, ward or Parish<lb></lb>
Offices or Paying to Church and Poor whereby a due<lb></lb>
Rotation is prevented and the weight and Burden<lb></lb>
falls to heavier upon others of the Parish who are<lb></lb>
of ten less able to Serve or pay</p>
<p n="93">These Merchants are Rated to the Poors Rate<lb></lb>
which they refuse to Pay alledging they are Inmates<lb></lb>
only and not Liable.</p>
