Ward Offices should be raised: which after much<lb></lb>
debate was Carried in the Affirmative. And two Sums <lb></lb>
were thereupon proposed, to wit, the Sum of Twenty<lb></lb>
Pounds by Mr. Hebert, and the Sum of Fourteen Pounds<lb></lb>
five shillings by Mr. <rs type="persName" id="GLDBMV30502_n1084-2">James Allen</rs>

Seconded, the Question was put, Whether the Ward<lb></lb>
Fine should be raised to Twenty Pounds, or Fourteen<lb></lb>
Pounds five shillings only, and Mr. Church Warden<lb></lb>
Chesson declared there was a great Majority for raising<lb></lb>
the Ward Fine to Twenty Pounds. It was therefore<lb></lb>
Ordered that the Fine for Ward Offices be Raised to the <lb></lb>
said Sum of Twenty Pounds.</p>

then Moved that the Resolve of this<lb></lb>
Meeting for raising the Ward Fine as aforesaid should<lb></lb>
be laid before the next Precinct Meeting for Confirmation<lb></lb>
And Mr. Reynolds added, that when the Notices were<lb></lb>
issued to the Inhabitants for such next Meeting, there<lb></lb>
should be under wrote to the effect, that it would be then<lb></lb>
determined, whether the said Order for raising the <lb></lb>
Ward Fine should stand Confirmed. Which was<lb></lb>
directed accordingly.</p>
<p n="1086">Then Mr. Church Warden Chesson Adjourn'd the <lb></lb>
Meeting, untill another Summons should be sent out</p>
