This Vestry was held Pursuant to Publick Notice<lb></lb>
given in the Church And Mr Church Warden James<lb></lb>
acquainted the Gentlemen present That Mr <rs type="persName" id="GLDBMV30502_n75-1">John Bennet</rs>

the Organist of this Parish was then waiting without,<lb></lb>
and humbly pray'd Leave of this Vestry that he might.<lb></lb>
offer himself as Candidate for the place of Organist<lb></lb>
of <rs type="placeName" id="GLDBMV30502_geo4">St John's Chapel</rs>

<interp inst="GLDBMV30502_geo4" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
in <rs type="placeName" id="GLDBMV30502_geo5">Bedford Row</rs>
<interp inst="GLDBMV30502_geo5" type="placeName" value="Bedford Row"></interp>
<interp inst="GLDBMV30502_geo5" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
(now vacant) for<lb></lb>
the better Support of himself and Family Subject to<lb></lb>
and under such Restrictions as this Vestry shoud Order<lb></lb>
and direct with Regard to his Personal Attendance<lb></lb>
in Discharge of his Duty as Organist of this Parish<lb></lb>
And that he had not Presum'd to stand as Candidate<lb></lb>
nor did intend so to do without the Previous Consent<lb></lb>
and Approbation of this Vestry</p>
<p n="76">And the same being taken into Consideration<lb></lb>
and after some time spent there in It was Ordered that<lb></lb>
an Order of Vestry made the 2d April 1752 be now read<lb></lb>
and the same was read accordingly.</p>
<p n="77">Then Mr <rs type="persName" id="GLDBMV30502_n77-1">George Maynard</rs>
<interp inst="GLDBMV30502_n77-1" type="given" value="George"></interp>
<interp inst="GLDBMV30502_n77-1" type="surname" value="Maynard"></interp>
<interp inst="GLDBMV30502_n77-1" type="gender" value="male"></interp>
moved that the<lb></lb>
severel Orders of Vestry made the 27th July 1749 and<lb></lb>
the said 2d of April 1752 so far as they direct that the<lb></lb>
Person who shoud be Chosen Organist of this Parish<lb></lb>
shoud Attend in Person twice on every Sunday and on<lb></lb>
other usual Festivals and have no Deputy but in Case<lb></lb>
of Sickness be provision ally discharged and being<lb></lb>
Seconded the Question was put on the said Motion<lb></lb>
and carried in the Affirmative.</p>
<p n="78">Ordered that the several Orders of Vestry of the<lb></lb>
27th July 1749 and 2d April 1752 so far as they direct that<lb></lb>
the Person who shoud be Chosen Organist of this<lb></lb>
Parish shoud Attend in Person twice on every Sunday<lb></lb>
and on other usual Festivals and have no Deputy<lb></lb>
but in Case of Sickness be provisionally discharged</p>
