Years, Says that on Tuesday last about half hour after<lb></lb>
Eight o'Clock in the Evening he came home and saw<lb></lb>
Mr. Kirkwood coming down Stairs and lifting up his<lb></lb>
Hands saying what shall I do, and upon Dept. asking<lb></lb>
what was the matter, Kirkwood desired him to come<lb></lb>
into the Parlour and see, Says that he went into Mr.<lb></lb>
Kirkwood's Back Parlour and there saw <rs type="persName" id="WACWIC65214_n977-3">Mary Kirkwood</rs>

Floor with her Head close to the Wainscot by the<lb></lb>
Window, and a Stone Chamber pot lying near her<lb></lb>

the Deced appeared to<lb></lb>
Dept. to be dead but that he saw no Blood upon<lb></lb>
the Deced or upon the Floor, Says that he fetched<lb></lb>
Mr. Williams a Surgeorn who came there immediately<lb></lb>
and Examined the Deced, and said that she had no Pulse<lb></lb>
and that she was dead, and Dept. then saw a little<lb></lb>
Blood about the Deced's Nose. Says that the Deced<lb></lb>
was much addicted to Liquor and was drunk almost<lb></lb>
every day, and then very Quarrel some and abusing<lb></lb>
her Husband, but Dept. never saw a blowstruck by<lb></lb>
either of them Says that the Deced when in Liquor<lb></lb>
used frequently to fall down and thereby has several<lb></lb>
times received hurt. Says that he was in his<lb></lb>
own Room on the First Floor about Seven o'Clock<lb></lb>
on Tuesday last in the Evening and heard a Noise of<lb></lb>
something falling heavily down but Dept. did not think<lb></lb>
that it was in their House but he heard no talking<lb></lb>
at that time That about Eight o'Clock a Man came there<lb></lb>
with Orders from the High Constable to Mr. Kirkwood (who<lb></lb>
was a Constable) upon which he called Mr. Kirkwood several<lb></lb>
times but had no Answer.</p>
