, good and lawfull Men of the said Liberty only<lb></lb>
chosen who being then and there duly Sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King<lb></lb>
when how and by what Means the said Man Unknown came to his Death, do upon their<lb></lb>
Oath say That on the first day of August in the Year aforesaid (between nine and ten of the Clock in<lb></lb>
the Evening) a certain beachman being driving a Hackney beach drawn by two Horses in the Publick<lb></lb>
Road or Highway leading from Ranclagh House towards Pimlice in the Parish aforesaid within the<lb></lb>
Liberty and County aforesaid, And that the said Man Unknown was then and there crossing the said<lb></lb>
Publick Road or Highway, near unto Chelsea Bridge, and before the Horses then and there drawing the said<lb></lb>
Hackney beach, It so happened that Accidentally Casually and by misfortune, the Pole of the said Hackney<lb></lb>
Coach, did then and there strike and go against the Breast of him the said Man Unknown, by Reason where of<lb></lb>
the said Man Unknown did then and there receive one mortal Bruise in and upon the Breast of him<lb></lb>
the said Man Unknown, of which said mortal Bruise he the said Man unknown then and there<lb></lb>
instantly died. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that the said man Unknown<lb></lb>
in Manner and by the Means aforesaid, Accidentally, Casually, and by Misfortune came to his Death, and<lb></lb>
not otherwise. In Witness where of as well the said Coroner, as the said Joseph Lindley Foreman of<lb></lb>
the said Jurors, on the behalf of himself and the rest of his said Fellows, in their presence, have<lb></lb>
to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals, the Day Year and Place first above written</p>
