Child That he examined the Child with attention, and is<lb></lb>
of opinion that it is an abortion, either natural or procured<lb></lb>
it deficiency in size, want of Hails, and the bones of the<lb></lb>
head not sufficiently assisted strong them his opinion<lb></lb>
That its growth appears about Seven Months nevertheless<lb></lb>
a Child of seven Months grow them eight have been born<lb></lb>
above, tho' a continuation of Life in general precluded This<lb></lb>
cannot be ascertained on account of puts refaction That<lb></lb>
he did not try the experiment of trying the <rs type="placeName" id="LMCLIC65002_geo960">Lungs</rs>

in Water<lb></lb>
on account of the putrefaction that had taken place which<lb></lb>
rendered the experiment needless. All that can be<lb></lb>
gathered is from the Navel String or umbilical Cord<lb></lb>
from which if the Child has been destroyed it could<lb></lb>
not have been by drowning as it would have bled to<lb></lb>
Death, before it could have reached the place, where it<lb></lb>
was found, the Navel string having never been pressed<lb></lb>
or tied; if it had, it would have rotted or Sloughed off<lb></lb>
It has not been divided properly, it is of the colour with<lb></lb>
the Body, which proves that the Child could not have<lb></lb>
been alive (if at all) after the seperation the blood then<lb></lb>
taking a new Channel the remaining navel String would<lb></lb>
have</p>
