called the Black Book.</p>
<p n="3842">That the Names of Apprentices who shall have<lb></lb>
been guilty of any flagrant enormity, shall be-<lb></lb>
inserted in the black Book.</p>
<p n="3843">That any Apprentice whose name shall have<lb></lb>
been inserted in the black book a third time, shall<lb></lb>
be expelled.</p>
<p n="3844">That the President, Treasurer, or House, Committee<lb></lb>
may order the infliction of such moderate Punish-<lb></lb>
-ment upon offending Apprentices as the case and<lb></lb>
circumstances shall require, but that the name<lb></lb>
of no Apprentice be inserted in the black book,<lb></lb>
except by Order of the House Committee.</p>
<p n="3845">That if more than two Apprentices shall<lb></lb>
appear in company together, out of this Hospital,<lb></lb>
they shall be severely punished.</p>
<p n="3846">That the Apprentices, when out of their time,<lb></lb>
shall return their Clothes to the Steward, and shall<lb></lb>
receive other Clothes at the discretion of the Committee</p>
<p n="3847">That the Fees to be paid when they take up their<lb></lb>
Freedom, shall be paid by the Hospital.</p>
<p n="3848">With respect to the Improvement of the<lb></lb>
Apprentices, your Committee are of opinion that<lb></lb>
the Chaplain should instruct them in their<lb></lb>
Religious Duty, and Catechize, them in Lent, during<lb></lb>
the four first Years of their Servitude, and</p>
<p n="3849">That the House Committee should provide for<lb></lb>
them such other Instructions as they may think<lb></lb>
conducive to their future benefit and advantage.<lb></lb>
