<p n="3733">But the previous Question being put, that the above<lb></lb>
Question be now put, it passed in the Negative, and the<lb></lb>
main Question was therefore not put.</p>
<p n="3734">It was then Moved and Seconded;</p>
<p n="3735">That a Select Committee be appointed for three Years,<lb></lb>
with an allowance of expenditure, not exceeding<lb></lb>
£500 a Year; And that the said Committee consist of the<lb></lb>
present Members of the Prison Committee, together<lb></lb>
with Six other Governors, with authority to carry into<lb></lb>
effect so much of the Report, as shall appear to them<lb></lb>
to be practicable and expedient.</p>
<p n="3736">And on the Question being put, it passed in the Negative.</p>
<p n="3737">The following Motion was then proposed, and Seconded<lb></lb>
and having been put, It was Resolved;</p>

House Commee.</note>

That it be referred to the House Committee, to consider<lb></lb>
whether any, and which, of the present, Artsmasters, are<lb></lb>
in their Opinion, proper and competent Officers for the Purpose<lb></lb>
of the Charity; And also, what other Arts or Occupations,<lb></lb>
giving employment to a Sufficient Number of Apprentices,<lb></lb>
and most requisite in the <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20210_geo409">City of London</rs>
<interp inst="BBBRMG20210_geo409" type="placeName" value="City of London"></interp>
<interp inst="BBBRMG20210_geo409" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
, it may be proper<lb></lb>
to introduce; And that the said Committee do also consider<lb></lb>
and prepare a System of Regulations, as well for the<lb></lb>
Admission, as the well ordering, good Government, and<lb></lb>
Improvement of the Apprentices, and Report the same to<lb></lb>
the Court.</p>
