by the Treasurer and the Committee Resolved to postpone letting<lb></lb>
the above premises for the present and Mr. Lewis was desire<lb></lb>

opinion as to the mode of letting them most beneficial to the<lb></lb>

whereby<lb></lb>
it appeared that he had remitted to the Steward of this<lb></lb>
Hospital £120 part of his old arrears of Rent and the<lb></lb>
Committee having taken into consideration the situation of<lb></lb>
himself and family and his utter incapacity to pay the<lb></lb>
remainder and it appearing that he had been a Tenant<lb></lb>
upwards of 33 Years during which time he had considerably<lb></lb>
improved the farm and had given it up to the present Te-<lb></lb>
nant in a good condition.</p>
<p n="947">The Committee had Resolved that the remainder of the<lb></lb>
said arrears be remitted.</p>
<p n="948">And it being stated on behalf of the Tenants of this<lb></lb>
Hospital Inhabitants of Chatham place and new Bridge It:<lb></lb>
that they were greatly annoyed by dust during the summer<lb></lb>
months and that they found it impossible to procure a con-<lb></lb>
stant and sufficient supply of water within a convenient<lb></lb>
distance for the purpose of laying the dust and it being sug-<lb></lb>
gested that a proper Reservoir for water might be easily<lb></lb>
constructed upon the top of the Engine House belonging to this<lb></lb>
Hospital which could be constantly filled from the Thames water</p>
