<p n="1375">The Basket Men on the Womans side</p>
<p n="1376">Shall Light the Fire in the Store Room at Seven in the Morning and Assist in carrying<lb></lb>
the Woman thither</p>
<p n="1377">That he shall Assist the Gallery Maids in Bathing Bleeding Shaving and giving the<lb></lb>
Patients their Med<obscured></obscured>
and also in removing the Shaw and Cleaning the Cells and Galleries</p>
<p n="1378">As to the Office of Cook</p>
<p n="1379">And the Committee further find that the Duty and Office of Cook has been and is as<lb></lb>
follows</p>
<p n="1380">To Dress all the Meat, Boyl all the Pottage Milk Gruel Furmety and Rice Milk<lb></lb>
To Cut out the Meat on Sundays<lb></lb>
To Clean the Coppers Kitchen and Scullerys</p>

And We are of Opinion that the following Regulations and alterations<lb></lb>
should be made in the Office of Cock, that is to says</p>
<p n="1382">That she shall Dress all the Meal Boyl all the Pottages Milk, Gruel, Furmety and<lb></lb>
Rice Milk</p>
<p n="1383">That she shall clean the Coppers Kitchen and Scullerys<lb></lb>
That she shall not be allowed to Treat any of the Patients with Strong Beer in the Kitchen</p>
<p n="1384">As to the Office of Gallery Maids</p>
<p n="1385">And the Committee further find that the Duty and office of Gallery Maids have<lb></lb>
been and are as follows</p>
<p n="1386">To Distribute the Provisions to the Women Patients<lb></lb>
To help to wash and Iron the Linen of all the Patients</p>
<p n="1387">To clean the Cells Gallery Chequer and Stairs of the Womans End also the Committee<lb></lb>
Rooms and the Stairs and other parts in the Middle of the House</p>

of the Gallery Maids</note>
<lb></lb>
And We are of Opinion that the following regulations and alterations should be<lb></lb>
made in the Office of the Gallery Maids, that is to say,</p>
<p n="1389">It is the Opinion of this Committee that another Gallery Maid be Added and that<lb></lb>
all be under the immediate Direction of the Matron and that Apartments be provided in<lb></lb>
their respective Galleries</p>
<p n="1390">That they shall be in their Galleries by Six o'Clock in the Summer and Seven in the<lb></lb>
Winter and Open the Doors of the Cells that the Patients may come out of the Roome</p>
<p n="1391">That they shall then Carry down to the Store Room such Patients as ought to be<lb></lb>
put there and afterwards turn out the low Spirited and such as are Mopish and there<lb></lb>
set about Cleaning the Cells and Galleries</p>
<p n="1392">That they shall be very Careful in removing the old Straw and Providing Inosh and<lb></lb>
shall remove the Patients that are Dirty from one Cell to another and Wash their Dirty<lb></lb>
Cells and shall take away such Waste Provisions as may be found every Morning</p>
<p n="1393">That they shall receive the Linen and other Necessaries brought in with the Patients<lb></lb>
by their Friends and shall keep an Account in Writing that they may be Delivered up<lb></lb>
when the Patient is Discharged or if Tern that the pieces may be returned to shew that<lb></lb>
they have not been Purloined</p>
<p n="1394">That they shall Assist in Bringing in the Women Patients to the Committee on<lb></lb>
Saturdays</p>

The Committee are of Opinion that the General Rules and Orders<lb></lb>
following are Necessary to be made for the Good Conduct and Management of the said<lb></lb>

Sea Etc Richd. Direction of<lb></lb>
Physician or Surgeon or<lb></lb>
Apothecary in Writing<lb></lb>
And no Visitor to Treat<lb></lb>
the Patient or Servants to<lb></lb>
Retad such things on pain<lb></lb>
of Expulsion<lb></lb>
Wardrobe to be at Stewards<lb></lb>
and Gallery made to lay<lb></lb>

Bone House to be made<lb></lb>
Incurable Patients to when<lb></lb>

<p n="1397">That no Patient whatever shall be allowed Tea Wine or Strong Beer by their Friends<lb></lb>
unless by the Particular Direction of the Physician Surgeon or Apothecary first given in<lb></lb>
Writing Nor shall any Money be taken by the Servants on that Account</p>
<p n="1398">And that no Person coming to Visit their Friends shall be allowed to Treat them<lb></lb>
with Tea Wine Strong Beer or Spirituous Liquors nor shall any of the Servants Order Fetch<lb></lb>
or Retail any such things on Pain of being Discharged</p>
<p n="1399">And That an Apartment be made for the Matron and that the Steward shall<lb></lb>
remove the Wardrobe into his own House; And that each Gallery Maid shall lay<lb></lb>
in her own Gallery</p>
<p n="1400">And that a Bone House shall be made in a proper place</p>
<p n="1401">And that Incurable Patients when they become Mopes or Consumption be<lb></lb>
Discharged if they belongto Parishes as it is Presumed they may be as Commod<obscured></obscured>
