otherwise Busied rather than Let them Walk Idle up and down the House<lb></lb>
Shaving it to Strangers and begging Money</p>
<p n="1353">That she shall bring into the Committee Room such Patients of the Women<lb></lb>
as are Discharged Well</p>
<p n="1354">That she shall take Care that the Shaw on which the Patients are laid is<lb></lb>
Charged when Damp or Dirty</p>
<p n="1355">As to the Office of Basket Men</p>
<p n="1356">And the Committee further find that the Duty and Office of the Basket<lb></lb>
Men has been and is as follows</p>
<p n="1357">Two are to cut the Bread Butter and Cheese by Turns the other to take<lb></lb>
Care of the Beer</p>
<p n="1358">All to Distribute the Provisions and Beer to the Patients<lb></lb>
To Clean the Cells, Galleries, Chequer and Stairs on the Mens end<lb></lb>
To Shift the Men Patients once a Week<lb></lb>
To Attend on the Committees</p>
<p n="1359">To go on Messages and with Letters as Ordered by the Committee <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ2099">treasurer</rs>

<p n="1360">To Attend and Assist the Men Patients at Bathing Bleeding Shaving and<lb></lb>
taking their Medicines</p>
<p n="1361">To take Care of the Keys of the Gates after Ringing the Bell by Turns<lb></lb>
and on every Sunday and after Ten in the Summer and Nine in the Winter<lb></lb>
every Night to Deliver the Keys to the Porter</p>
<p n="1362">And We are of Opinion that the following regulations and alterations<lb></lb>
should be made in the Office of Basket Men, that is to say</p>
<p n="1363">The Basket Men on the Mens side</p>

That they shall rise at Six in the Summer time and at Seven in the<lb></lb>
Winter to Light the Fires in the Store Room Surgery and Infirmary Carry Down their<lb></lb>
Patients as soon as Possible and then Set about Cleaning their Gallories and shall<lb></lb>
take away such provisions as may be found every Morning</p>
<p n="1365">That they shall receive the Linen and other Necessaries brought in wit the Patient<lb></lb>
by their Friends and shall keep an Account in Writing that they may be<lb></lb>
Delivered up when the Patient is Discharged or if Torn that the Pieces may be<lb></lb>
returned to shew that they have not been Purloined</p>
<p n="1366">That they shall suffer no Strong Beer or other Liquors to be brought<lb></lb>
in for the Patients on any Account but thro' the Stewards Apartment</p>
<p n="1367">That they shall Conform to every good Rule made long ago but now<lb></lb>
much neglected, not to suffer Prentice Boys, Idle Girls and Jews on a Saturday<lb></lb>
to Stay long in the House and loiter away their Time and shall turn them out<lb></lb>
if they behave Improperly</p>
<p n="1368">It is the Opinion of this Committee that another Basker Man be Added and<lb></lb>
that his Duty be as follows</p>

That he shall cut out the Meat Bread Butter and Cheese under the<lb></lb>

<p n="1371">That he shall take in the Beer Draw and Deliver it out and keep the<lb></lb>
Cellar Sweet and Clean</p>
<p n="1372">That he shall take in and Deliver out the Coals sift the Cinders and<lb></lb>
take Care there is no Waste</p>
<p n="1373">And for his better Encouragement he may Succeed the Junior Basket man<lb></lb>
on any Death or Vacancy It the Court shall think proper and that it be<lb></lb>
referred to the Weekly Committee to Allot him a proper Apartment</p>
