who declared the <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20208_geo606">Hospital of Bridewell</rs>

would be the most necessary of the said<lb></lb>
Hospitals and took great pains and trouble to procure and establish the same<lb></lb>
Also considering that the bringing up Children of Riper Years to Occupations<lb></lb>
was one of the Objects of the Declaration Grant and Charter above mentioned and that<lb></lb>
the Method of Training up such Children has for near two Centuries been by placing<lb></lb>
them with <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ1924">Artsmasters</rs>
<interp inst="BBBRMG20208_occ1924" type="occupation" value="Artsmasters"></interp>
within the said Hospital Also Considering the Great Sums of<lb></lb>
Money given to Answer and Support the Purposes for which this Hospital was<lb></lb>
founded particularly for the benefit of Apprentices in Confidence that the same<lb></lb>
would be Punctually and Religiously applied to the Uses for which the same<lb></lb>
was Originally Destined Also Considering that a great Number of Apprentices<lb></lb>
have been brought up in this Hospital from Poverty and Distress many of<lb></lb>
whom have become useful Members of Society We are of Opinion that the<lb></lb>

and their Apprentices are of Public Utility and that it is expedient<lb></lb>
to continue such a Number of <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ1926">Artsmasters</rs>

as to leave Room for a Provision for Vagrant<lb></lb>
Children & such other Persons as are Willing to accept employment and to<lb></lb>
enable the <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ1927">governors</rs>

of this Hospital by their Charitable Interposition to rescue<lb></lb>
them from their destitute Condition and render them useful Members of<lb></lb>
Society under the Care and Tuition of a Taskmaster And we are also<lb></lb>
of Opinion That as future Vacancies of <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ1928">Artsmasters</rs>

happen they shall<lb></lb>
be filled up with such Trades and Manufactures as are most Wanting in<lb></lb>

and the Liberties thereof and employ the Greatest Number<lb></lb>
of Hands And we are further of Opinion that in Rutting out Apprentices<lb></lb>
hereafter a Preference shall be given to those of <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20208_geo608">London</rs>

<p n="1195">And Lastly as to what Reformation may be immediately necessary<lb></lb>
in respect to such Apprentices to Remove their enormous Misbehavior</p>
<p n="1196">We find by Information of Mr <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ1929">treasurer</rs>

that several Regulations<lb></lb>
have been already made by the House Committee and that others are now under<lb></lb>
their Consideration for reforming the Apprentices Preventing Disorders<lb></lb>
and Correcting the Offenders We are therefore of Opinion to decline<lb></lb>
Entring into this Part of the Inquiry directed by the said Order & to leave<lb></lb>
it to that Committee to compleat their Plan if this Court shall think proper<lb></lb>
All which is Submitted to the Judgment of the Court</p>

same is hereby Confirmed</p>
