and one of his Horses (for want of such light or notice) fell into the said<lb></lb>
Server in the night whereby he sustained Damage to the amount of £3.4<lb></lb>

better employing the Prisoners comitted to hard labour and the more<lb></lb>
effectually instructing the apprentices bound to him by the Govrs. is oblidged<lb></lb>
to keep a large Quantity of Hemp and Flax thereThat he being permitted<lb></lb>
to lay Hemp and Flax in a large Warehouse in the Outward Court of the said<lb></lb>
Hospital had a great Quantity therein which cost him £226.16.-when the fire<lb></lb>
happen'd on the 3d of Janry instant about nine of the Clock in the Night which<lb></lb>
burn't with such violence that it consumed great part of the said Goods<lb></lb>
which were in the said Warehouse before proper releif could be had to<lb></lb>
extinguish the said Fire and what part thereof remained unconsumed was<lb></lb>
to greatly damaged that he was obliged to tell the same for £40, so that his<lb></lb>
Loss amounts to £106.16That looking upon it that his goods were safe<lb></lb>
in a place where two Fire Engines with a sufficient assistance were ready at<lb></lb>
hand and a watch continually kept had not made any Insurance upon his<lb></lb>
said Goodsand Praying the Govrs to take his Misfortunes into Consideracon<lb></lb>
and give him such releif therein as to their great goodness and Compassion<lb></lb>
shall seem meetIt is Ordered that it be referred to the Comee of the said<lb></lb>
Hospital to consider of the said Petition and to report their Opinion therein to<lb></lb>
the Court.</p>
