proposal Whereupon the said Mr. Appleby gave two Guineas to the Poors bee And it<lb></lb>
is Ordered that this Opinion be reported to the next Court All which nevertheless<lb></lb>
is submitted to the Judgment of the CourtThis Court doth confirm the said<lb></lb>

thereupon, whereby it is referred to this Comittee to see which of the Gratuitys Salarys<lb></lb>
& Wages are fit to be increased or lessned And this Comittee having examined into the<lb></lb>
Wages of the Porter & Servants find that the Wages paid to each of them respectively<lb></lb>

<p n="3606">And your Comittee finding their respective Wages to be unequal to their Trust since the<lb></lb>
prequisites they claimed have been taken from them and which were raised from the friends<lb></lb>
of the patients in general without distinction and it appearing that many Parishes get<lb></lb>
their distracted Inhabitants admitted in this Hospital which is a great case to such parishes<lb></lb>
who are generally able to pay for the Maintenance of their own poor Your Comittee are<lb></lb>
of Opinion that parish officers shall be obliged to pay upon the Admittance of any of their<lb></lb>
Inhabitants the Sum of 10s for each to the Steward to be by him put into the Servts.<lb></lb>
box And that the Monthly Comittees for the time being at the opening of the box do<lb></lb>
thereout increase the said Servants Wages in such proportions as they shall think proper<lb></lb>
And your Comittee are further of Opinion that if any of the aforesaid Servants shall<lb></lb>
at any time presume to demand or use any Method to obtain any Gratuity fee or Reward<lb></lb>
upon the Admittance or discharge of any Patient whatsoever that such Servant ought<lb></lb>
to be imediately dismissed from the Service of this Hospital All which nevertheless is<lb></lb>
submitted to the Judgment of the Court having duly weighed and considered of the said<lb></lb>
Report doth Confirm the same.</p>
