This Court being Informed that the Number of Poor People in the<lb></lb>
Precinct belonging to the <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20205_geo525">Hospital of Bridewell</rs>

is very great & daily Increasing by the<lb></lb>
House Keepers taking many Inmates & Lodges into their houses And that the Collection<lb></lb>
made both in the Hospital & Precinct together with £24 P Anum Allow'd by the<lb></lb>
Governors towards the Watch & Poor is not Sufficient to Provide for 'em And that<lb></lb>
Several of the Inhabitants in the Precinct refuse to pay any thing at all to the Poor<lb></lb>
It is Ordered that it be Referred to The Comittee of This House to take<lb></lb>
this matter into Consideration And they are Desired to give the block of these Hospitals<lb></lb>
Directions to draw up a State of the Case in Order to be laid before Counsel for<lb></lb>
their Opinion thereon.</p>
