<p n="3104">Mr. president at a Court acquainted the artsmasters that<lb></lb>
notwithstanding the frequent admonitions to them to keep their<lb></lb>
apprentices at home on holydays yet there were reflections on the<lb></lb>
apprentices for Comitting disorders in the Streets and directed the<lb></lb>
Order of the fourth of Novemr. to be read and gave them Strict Charge<lb></lb>
to keep their apprentices at work on Holydays and not Suffer them<lb></lb>
to go out the Beadle and Porters man had the like Orders and<lb></lb>
the Boys were directed to keep within their Masters appartments<lb></lb>
the 28th & 29th. of May and not one to be out of the hospital and were<lb></lb>
told they Should be watcht and if any appeared in the Streets they<lb></lb>
would not only endanger their own lives but the over throwing the<lb></lb>
Charity of the hospital That ye 27th of July 1716 the Court<lb></lb>
being informed that one <rs type="persName" id="BBBRMG20204_n3104-1">Daniel Vaughan</rs>

in the hospital who was killed in the Riott at <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20204_geo2175">Salisbury Court</rs>

that night to be buried It was Ordered That if any apprentice<lb></lb>
appeared at that funeral he should be Stript and turned out and<lb></lb>
whoever Should be found in any Riot or Tumult Should not only be<lb></lb>
deprived of the benefitt of ye Charity of the hospital but Should be<lb></lb>
imediately Stript Corrected and turned out of the house And the<lb></lb>
Artsmasters Beadles and apprentices were called in and acquainted<lb></lb>
with the Order That the Second of Augt. 1716. Complaint was<lb></lb>
made that on Harrison an Apprentice to <rs type="persName" id="BBBRMG20204_n3104-52">Robert Bower</rs>

refused by the Beadles to go out the night Vaughan was buried<lb></lb>
between Nine & ten at night the said Bower against the Express<lb></lb>
Orders turned the key and Let him out It was Referred to a<lb></lb>
Comee to Consider of the said Complaint who ye 31st. of Augt.<lb></lb>
following Reported they had considered the Complaint and were of<lb></lb>
opinion that the said Bower for his Contempt Should be expe<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
and turned out of the hospital That altho Bower the 12th of Octor. 1716<lb></lb>
petitioned to be Restored after referring that petition to a Comee<lb></lb>
both the Comee and Court refused to restore him and the 4th of Janry<lb></lb>

ments to be brought to turn him out of his<lb></lb>
house which was done accordingly and ye 2d. of Novemr. 1716</p>
