Lret.Resumed the consideration of the Letter of Mr. Snuggs addressed<lb></lb>
to the Court and referred to the Committee.</p>
<p n="838">Labourer In Trust<lb></lb>
& Contractor examd.<lb></lb>
respecting the Accidt.<lb></lb>
at Prison.Mr. Garton the labourer in trust and Mr. Snuggs the Contractor<lb></lb>
attended and being called in stated their respective opinions in the<lb></lb>
presence of each other respecting the cause of failure in the Buildings<lb></lb>
the Committee then viewed the premises and having carefully examin'd<lb></lb>
and heard the different parties are of opinion that the cause of<lb></lb>
failure was the party Wall and the Hall Wall not having been<lb></lb>
Bonded together, that such defect might have been known had the<lb></lb>
Wall been previously examined which appears not to have been<lb></lb>
done; the Committee do not take upon themselves to determine whether<lb></lb>
such Examination ought to have been made by the Surveyor or the<lb></lb>
Contractor,</p>
<p n="839">The Committee recommd.<lb></lb>
to the Cot. to offer the<lb></lb>
Contractor a Sum of<lb></lb>
Money, he leaving all<lb></lb>
the Materials on the<lb></lb>
Premes.Agreed to recommend to the Court that under all the<lb></lb>
unhappy circumstances of the case it would be adviseable to offer<lb></lb>
the Contractor the sum of £400- he leaving upon the premises<lb></lb>
all the materials.</p>
