PAINT. I am a labourer in the Company's warehouse in Cutler-street
. On the 4th of September I went into the cellar and found a large parcel of tea in a paper, between two piles of chests. I told the elder, and was set to watch; the next morning I saw the prisoner come with a great coat under his arm; he went immediately to the spot, took the tea out, and wrapped it up in his great coat - He began running, I told him it was useless to run for I knew him, and gave the alarm-Hardy stopped him. I took the bag of tea from him.
GEORGE HARDY. I am a commodore in the Company's service; I stopped the prisoner on the stairs, and found the tea upon him.
