. I am foreman to William Millard, trunkmaker
, 392, Oxford-street
. On the 17th of April, about six in the evening, I saw the prisoner take this portmanteau from the door. I was at the back part of the shop. As I came forwards I saw him take it away. I pursued him, and took him, and brought him into the shop, and the portmanteau on him. He then wished me to let him off. This is the portmanteau; it is Mr. Millard's property.
