Coming up Ludgate-hill
about ten o'clock to the Sessions-house, the prisoner picked my pocket; I did not know it till Newman came up to me and said, Mr. Akerman, here is a man has picked your pocket; Newman pulled up the man's apron and the handkerchief was taken out of his breeches.
NEWMAN sworn.
I saw the prisoner take it, and I informed Mr. Akerman, and I took the handkerchief out of the prisoner's breeches in Mr. Akerman's presence.
