332. JOHN JONES proceedingsdefend was indicted for escaping from the ballast-lighters, and being found at large before the expiration of the term for which he had been sentenced to hard labour on the river Thames , April the 2d .

(The copy of the certificate of the delivery of the prisoner not being properly authenticated, he was found Not Guilty, and remanded to his former sentence.)

NOT GUILTY .

Tried by the First Middlesex Jury, before Mr. Justice WILLES.
