, a servant lad to Clark, who went to fetch a horse from the field where she was. On Sunday the 26th of Jan. the lad going of an errand saw the prisoner selling the ass to a stranger and rode up to him and told them both whose ass it was; the prisoner said she was his own property and took some money for her and delivered her to the man, who took her away towards London.
The prisoner in his defence said she was given him by Mr.
