454. Christopher Miller , otherwise Jones proceedingsdefend , of St. James's Westminster , was indicted for stealing two shirts, val. 4 s. and an apron, val. 1 d. the goods of Thomas Barnett proceedingsvictim , Sept.12 .

Thomas Barnett < no role > , These things were hanging in my yard a drying, and the Prisoner took them off the line, I catched hold of him, but he got from me and run away, my Evidence took him and brought him back, he made excuses and said he was staying for some body up stairs.

Mr. Barnett's man, deposed that he heard his master call out stop thief, and hearing feet go very fast through the passage he came out, run after the Prisoner, and took him with the things under his arm. Guilty 10 d.
