Robert Booth , alias Browne, alias Buckley, alias Bowyer, alias Bromley, alias Bartue, alias Brooks, alias Bruce, alias Butler, alias Bartey, alias Thomas Bartlet proceedingsdefend , late of London Labourer , was indicted for a Felony in Marrying Elizabeth Elliot proceedingsvictim , on the 1st of May last, his first Wife Hannah Blackham proceedingsvictim being then alive . Both Marriages being fully proved, the Jury found him Guilty . Burnt in the Hand . And it appearing that he he had 17 or 18 Wives now living, 5 of which appeared at his Tryal, the Court taking into Considerations the Heinousness of his Crimes, gave leave to all Persons whom he has Cheated in this manner, to Charge him with Actions for all Money and Goods had and received by such fraudulent Practices.
