John Benson proceedingsdefend , of St. Magnes the Martyr , was indicted for Privately stealing a Silk, Handkerchief, value 2 s. from the Person of Thomas Wilmer proceedingsvictim , the 9th of February last. The Prosecutor deposed, That as he was going over London-Bridge he felt his Handkerchief polling out of his Pocket. Saw the Prisoner have it in his Hand and put it into his Pocket, seized him and took it out. The Prisoner pretended he took it off from the Ground. The Jury nevertheless found him Guilty to the Value of 10 d .
