Martha Bowen , alias Mary Smith proceedingsdefend , of the Parish of St. Giles Cripplegate , was indicted for stealing a Brass Pot, value 2 s. 2 Gold Rings, value 20 s. and other Goods of Mary Weston proceedingsvictim , on the 30th of May last. The Prosecutor swore, That the Prisoner had been a Lodger in the House; and being gone, the Goods were miss'd; whereupon she was suspected, taken, and confess'd the Fact. She did not deny her having the Things at her Trial, but said the Prosecutor gave them to her to raise Money; which not being believ'd, she was found Guilty of Felony.
