last. The Prosecutor's Servant swore, That the Prisoner (with whom she had some Acquaintance formerly) came to her, under pretence of asking her Advice as to a young Woman he was going to marry, and to invite her to his Wedding; and coming again the next Morning, she was above stairs, and he sent the Boy with a Message to her, and in the mean time took the Spoons. She coming down soon after miss'd them, and purs'd and took him; when he confess'd the Fact, and told where he had sold them for 43 s. where they were found accordingly. He had nothing to offer in his Defence; but the Jury considering the Prosecutor had his Goods again, he was found
guilty only to the Value of 35 s.
