John Colebach, alias Coleblack proceedingsdefend , of the Parish of St. Botolph Aldersgate , was indicted for stealing a Silver Roan Mare , the Goods of John Jowers proceedingsvictim , on the 19th of August last. The Prosecutor said he lost the Mare out of his Grounds at Cotfield in Suffolk ; and putting her into the News, and the Prisoner bringing her to the Castle and Faulcon in Aldersgate-street, was suspected, and stopt; and the Prosecutor being sent to, came to Town and own'd her; which was strengthen'd by another, who swore her to be his. The Prisoner pretended he bought her of a Yorkshire Butcher, and nam'd a Woman that would justifie he paid for her; but no such thing appearing, nor any to his Reputation, he was found guilty .
