Mary Salter proceedingsdefend , of St. Mary Savoy , was Indicted for privately stealing 11 half Yards of Scotch strip'd Linnen Cloth, value 20 s. the Goods of John Pain proceedingsvictim , on the 20th of November last. It appear'd that the Prisoner went to the Prosecutors Shop to cheapen Dyed Linnen, but watching her Opportunity, she took the Goods mention'd in the Indictment and convey'd them up her Petticoats , but being pursu'd she drop'd them from her; the Jury found her Guilty of Felony.
