John Baines, alias Anderson proceedingsdefend , was Indicted for stealing goods from Elizabeth Johnson proceedingsvictim , of the Parish of St. Botolph Bishopsgate , to the value of 3 l. 7 s. on the 24th, of April : He was taken in the House under the Maids Bed, and had taken the goods out of the Maids Box, with a design to carry them off. He only pleaded he was in Drink, and knew not where he was. He was brought in guilty of Felony.
