Examination TextRobert Owen aged about 32 Years Lodging in Clement's Lane at Mr Hamilton's the next door to the Crown and Sceptre, Saith he was Married to Sarah his Wife at the Parish Church of St Botolph without Aldgate London Eleven Years the 13th Day of January last, That he is by trade a Shoemaker, Was bound an Apprentice by Indenture for Seven Years to one Robert Lewis, who then Lodged at one Mr Rolant's the Goat Alehouse in Knuckles Alley (now Hannover Street) Long Acre and Served his said Master there about two Years & then he the said Robert Lewis hired a Lodging in Russell Court by Drury Lane in this Parish where he served his said Master about a Year. & then he removed to Knuckles aforesaid where he Served him about two years more & then upon some difference he left him and never was hired over or bound an Apprentice to any Person afterwards Saith he never was a yearly hired Servant, That he never kept house, hath three children James aged upwards of Eight Years Jeremiah Six Years & Urinah a Year
