<div2 type="smdssetColumn">Mary Scooley aged about 19 years lodging with Mrs Kesby who lodges at a Chandler's Shop the upper end of St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that she was born at a house known by the sign of the Ship and [Grid] Iron (now the sign of the Star) facing Hemmings Row in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, which said house her Father William Scooley lived in and rented, but how long a time she this Examinant can't tell or what rent he paid for the same, that he the said William Scooley died in the said house in St Martin's Lane aforesaid about 18 years ago as she this Examinant has heard her mother say.
