Examination Text | James Flower aged 20 years lodging at Mr McQuire's near Russel Street in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he was a yearly hired servant to Mr George Bickham, Engraver in Little Mays Buildings in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about four months ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes. Sworn the fifth day of March 1753 before Benjamin Cox. |
