Examination TextThe examination of Joseph Burgess to lodging at Mr Watson's in Hewitts Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this Twenty fourth Day of December in the year 1785. This Examiners on his her oath saith that she very well Knows Theodosius Williams aged about Nine years now Mrs Knowles in Exeter Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields , that the Father and Mother of the said Theodosius are both Dead the Father Benjamin Williams lived and rented a House in the Parish of Temple in the City of Bristol in the County of Somerset for the space of Three Months at the yearly Rents of Ten Pairings and upwards beside taxes quitted the same about Eight years ago as he this Examinant hath been Informed and Verily believes to be true that the said Benjamin Williams never Kept House rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year , nor paid any Parish taxes afterwards.
