Examination TextSusannah Walter aged about 24 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. Peter in the city of Bristol upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Peregrine Walter (now a soldier in Colonel Waldgrove's Regiment of Foot) to whom she was married in the city of Dublin in the Kingdom of Ireland three years ago the 19th of August last, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he is the said Peregrine Walter was born in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and further of him she this Examinant knoweth not, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit John aged two years now with this Examinant and that she is now pregnant. Sworn the 28th day of October 1754 before Benjamin Cox.
