Examination TextElizabeth Poole aged 30 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Thomas Poole (who died about five months ago) to whom she was married at the Fleet about 10 years ago, that her said husband was (before his intermarriage and while single and unmarried) a yearly hired servant to the Princess Amelia for the space of seven years at the yearly wages of 30 pounds and lay in the Stables in the Mews in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and from thence intermarried with this Examinant, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor hath paid any parish taxes afterwards, nor hath she this Examinant since his death, that she hath two children living by her said husband to wit John aged nine years now with Henry Sadler a Farrier in Great Bedding [sic] in the County of Wilts and James aged six years and upwards now with this Examinant. Sworn the seventh Day of July 1757 before Thomas Balack.
