<div2 type="smdssetColumn">The Examination of Ann Uffnall lodging at Mr Brown's a Baker in that part of Russell Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken upon oath this 10th day of July 1764. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 34 years of age, that she never was married, that she was in the month of March last delivered at Mr Brown's aforesaid of a female bastard child (since christened Ann) yet living and is likely to become chargeable to the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, and that William Bowers Shopmen to his brother a Grocer opposite the Playhouse Passage in Drury Lane did beget on her body the said female bastard child, and that he the said William Bowers is the true and only father thereof and no man else. Sworn the day and year abovesaid before Benjamin Cox, Thomas Kynaston.</div2>
