Examination TextElizabeth Sherring aged 28 Years upon her Oath saith that she was never Married bound Apprentice been a Yearly hired Servant in any one Place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a Settlement in her on Right that she is the legitimate issue of John William Sherring by Elizabeth his Wife that her said ffather is a Collar Maker by Trade & lived in & rented a House on the Parish of ffulham in the County of Middlesex for the space of ffour Years at the Yearly Rent of Twelve Guineas the said Taxes quitted the same about ffour Years ago , since which he had done act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath further saith that she was on the 30th Day of October last delivered at the House of Mr Smith No 10 Phoenix Alley in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields of a Male Bastard Child since baptised John William yet living and become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that Noah Hollis Cusick who is a Journeyman Shoemaker had several Times carnal Knowledge of her Body and did beget of her Body the said Male Bastard Child and that he the said Noah Hollis is the true & only ffather thereof and no Man else. Sworn this 25th Day of November 1793 before AHoddington Elizth Sherring
